WHAT IS MICRO-CAP LASER TECHNOLOGY?

Laser

Our packaging materials are microperforated using a CO2 laser. Laser perforation creates a clean, well-defined hole in the film. Compare this to mechanical cold needle perforations or 1/4″ vent holes used by many packaging suppliers. Cold needle mechanical methods produce inconsistent hole size which causes inconsistent gas transmission. Vent holes provide no atmosphere control.

Unlike holes created with mechanical cold needles and vent hole perforations, laser microperforated holes can be easily measured because they are consistent and reproducible. This allows us to customize the packaging for your specific fresh produce items by varying hole size and number which creates the desired oxygen flow rate.
